A couple of days ago, my friends and I went to IKEA, and I came across some fake flowers and thought to myself, I shall buy these and create an alice band. And this I did. Now, this is more of a fun thing you can do with fake flowers that you already have at home because fake flowers can be expensive if you are poor like me.
(I made a similar head band-tutorial with smaller, paper flowers, which is basically the same technique and but a little simpler, and I would guess cheaper. Rest your eyes upon it here. )
Estimated time for this, probably around 15-20 minutes depending on craftiness and type of flowers.
Look at that fab shit.
So first off, you'll need some fake flowers, any kind of flowers where you can rip off the "stem" like in the picture below. I think you can do this with most fake flowers. I used about five or six of those twig-thingys, so approximately 25 flowers maybe?
You'll also need a headband, some copper-wire (the softer the better!) and also, if you want, some beads.
After you've ripped the stems out (be careful btw) you take a needle and make a hole through the plastic. You might have to get a little violent here but make sure you don't rip the flower apart.
When you have a nice lil' hole in the flower you stick some wire through it and secure it with a bead.
Then you wrap the wire around the head band, and make sure you don't have any wire poking down your head, I don't know about you but having blood pouring down your hair does not seem very fashionable.
And then you just keep adding flowers until you feel like you're done!
